Description:
Prusa Mendel Iteration 2 is a simpler remix of normal Mendel.It is an improvement of the Prusa Mendel (iteration 1), and was released in November 2011.
The following is a list of the main improvements made on the original Prusa:
1. More parts are made to be push-fit
2. The carriages accommodate bushings and linear bearings
3. Nut traps were added to parts that were attached with M3 screws (e.g. endstop holders etc.)
4. The second bed plate was removed (The PCB heatbed is the second plate)
5. The belts were changed to GT5 belts - it is recommended to buy professional belt pulleys
6. Most M4 screws were changed to M3s
7. A printed plastic belt guide was designed to replace the large M8x30 fender washers
8. The belt clamp was redesigned
